The club was founded by men of vision and the course laid out by a skillful and talented architect-player. The Club etched its early glory by hosting important tournaments on a unique and challenging course.
Through the decades Columbia Edgewater attracted and developed quality players, men and women, who blossomed in the heat of competition, compiling impressive golfing records in local, regional, and national tournaments.
Columbia Edgewater members have drawn together for uncounted hours of companionship in the club's picturesque surroundings. They have nurtured the course, buildings, and personal relationships with care and love. When they were faced with challenges and disasters over the years, members willingly provided energy, time, and financial resources.
Today, Columbia Edgewater's leaders look to the future to improve service to members and polish even brighter Columbia's jewel: the course. Columbians encourage and teach champions-to-be who are learning the life of golf in youth programs.
